Rushall Park
Established in 1869, Rushall Park is Victoria’s earliest and best preserved aged care facility, provided by the Old Colonists’ Association of Victoria. TTA has breathed new life into a number of heritage-listed, late Victorian Boom Style cottages built in the 1890s for independent living within the estate.
The design approach across all projects is to reconfigure and improve the layouts, while retaining the character, charm and significance of the original buildings. In response to the increasing demand for a contemporary style of living, we introduced open plan spaces to a number of cottages with spatially efficient layouts, achieving greater connection to light and surrounds.
Alterations typically strip back multiple renovations to the rear, while keeping the original front façades intact. Designs seek to rationalise the overall building with simple, modest extensions, utilising existing structural alignments and materials to connect new with old.
TTA are proud to provide continued services for the estate, contributing to the rich history of the estate and bring joy to residents.
